Insights is deliberately conservative: it shows a dash (“—”) or Not measured when there is no data source, rather than a misleading zero. Before assuming something is broken, check the explanations below.
Dashes are expected in some cases#
| What you see | Why |
|---|---|
| A dash or “Not measured” for a metric | That module has no tracking source for that metric. |
| A dash for revenue | No attributed revenue in the selected period, or an order mixes currencies. |
| Zero in a covered column | That is a real 0 — the metric is measured and nothing happened. |
Each Insights page states which modules are measured and how. That note is the fastest way to understand a dash. See Metrics.
Checklist#
- Is the app embed enabled? Without it, modules do not render and cannot record impressions.
- Is the module on? Modules that are off are not measured.
- Is the period too short? Try 90 days.
- Does the module support measurement? Some modules are shown as No impression tracking in Module Performance.
Attributed revenue is empty#
Attributed revenue comes from order lines that carry an Uddom marker. If you have not taken a qualifying order in the period, there is nothing to show. Where refunds apply, Uddom nets them out and tells you how much was refunded.
Experiments show nothing#
An experiment must be running to record data, and it needs visitors to build up results. A draft experiment records nothing.
