General#
What is Uddom?
Uddom is a conversion toolkit for Shopify. It adds on-site messages, offers, reviews, cart recovery email and reporting to your store, all managed from one app. Start with Getting started.
Do I need a developer to use Uddom?
No. Normal setup and everyday use are done entirely from the Uddom app and your Shopify theme settings. The only theme step is switching on the Uddom app embed, which the app links you straight to.
Do I need a particular Shopify plan?
Uddom installs as a normal Shopify app. Some features depend on your theme rather than your plan — most importantly, cart drawer tools need a cart drawer. See Shopify themes and Cart drawer cross-sell issues.
How do I get Uddom onto my storefront?
Enable the Uddom app embed in your theme, then switch on the modules you want. See Enable the app embed.
Shopify themes#
Will Uddom work with my theme?
Uddom is built to be theme-agnostic and does not rely on a specific theme. Most features are delivered through the app embed. A few features depend on your theme having a relevant element — for example, cart drawer cross-sell needs a cart drawer.
My theme uses a cart page, not a cart drawer. Is that a problem?
Only for the cart drawer cross-sell, which needs a drawer. Other cart features, such as the free shipping bar, can appear on the cart page instead. See Cart drawer cross-sell issues.
Do I have to add app blocks in the theme editor?
No. The app embed places features automatically. A few modules offer optional app blocks for precise placement, but they are optional and still require the app embed.
CRO#
I switched a module on but nothing shows. Why?
Nearly always because the app embed is not enabled, or the module is on but not configured. Start with App embed not showing, then Module not appearing.
Can I run several modules at once?
Yes — you can switch on as many as you like. That said, it is easier to learn what works if you start with one or two and let them run.
What does “Coming soon” mean?
It marks a feature that exists in the app’s navigation but is not available yet — for example WhatsApp, SMS, AI Insights and the Email API provider. These are not usable yet.
How do I know which plan a module belongs to?
Each module card shows a plan label: Free, Grow, Convert or Scale. See Plans & billing.
Email marketing#
Why can't I send to some of my contacts?
Only contacts with the status Subscribed are sendable. Contacts imported without confirming consent are stored as Unsubscribed and never sent to. See Lists & contacts.
Why is there a 100-email limit per send?
Each send handles up to 100 recipients. Contacts beyond the limit are marked Over limit; send the rest in another run. See Sending emails.
Do I need to verify my sending domain?
It is strongly recommended. Verifying SPF, DKIM and DMARC helps your email reach inboxes instead of spam. See Email delivery.
Can customers unsubscribe?
Yes. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, which stops marketing email only — customers may still receive emails about their orders. See Unsubscribe.
Does Uddom show open rates or click rates for campaigns?
Not yet. Bulk Email analytics are not available, so Uddom shows only the send result (accepted / failed).
Analytics#
Why do I see dashes instead of numbers?
A dash or “Not measured” means there is no data source for that metric — it is not the same as zero. See Analytics not showing data.
What is attributed revenue?
Revenue from order lines that carry an Uddom marker, net of attributed refunds. See Metrics.
Why is revenue missing from my experiment results?
Experiment revenue attribution is not available yet, so experiment results do not show revenue. See Experiments.
Does A/B testing tell me which variant won?
No. Uddom describes the results and whether a difference is statistically significant. It does not pick a winner — that is your call. See A/B testing.
Billing#
Where can I see pricing?
Nowhere yet. The Plans & billing page currently says billing setup is coming soon, and Uddom does not list prices. See Plans & billing.
What do the plan labels mean?
They show which plan a module belongs to: Free, Grow, Convert or Scale. They are labels on module cards and do not by themselves bill you.
Can I use Uddom for free today?
Modules labelled Free are the ones included on the free plan. Billing and paid plans are not set up in the app yet.
